Hi I have a Rockford fosgate punch 800A2 in need of the amp turn on terminal being resoldered to the board. Can I just solder that lead back on or is there any special procedure or special care that I need to use to prevent damage to the rest of the amp?
It should be possible to do that safely, without collateral damage,
if you use the proper soldering equipment.
if you use the proper soldering equipment.
Thank you for the prompt response. I am not new to soldering, however, I am not sure if I know what that consists of, as I am a self-taught DIYer. Could you please elaborate on all of the proper soldering equipment I need to use? Thanks again
Can you show a picture of the terminal that needs to be re-soldered? Basically, show what you need done.

Yes, post clear, close photos of the work in question, and of whatever soldering equipment you have at present.
Are the plated vias in good condition? They often get destroyed and can't be relied on to support the terminal. If the vias are OK, you can just resolder. If not, you'll need to provide support. This can be as simple as using epoxy or something more substantial.
