Short pigtails are routinely used for terminating coax in VHF and low UHF equipment, so they are not as bad as often claimed. It depends what RF you are trying to keep out: the local AM station (~1MHz), local taxi firms (~100MHz) or mobile phones (~1GHz).

That's probably a nice balanced interconnect cable, but the only thing that Silver & Teflon® and to the cable is cost.
For an unbalanced RCA interconnect, look elsewhere.

Teflon is difficult to work; has a mind of its own. Wired a pre with the exact stuff shown in the post and ended it pulling it all; used Mogami mini-coax with good results.
