63/37 or 60/40 ? I have used 60/40 with great results before. ran out of solder wire tho.

AIM has been good to me, tho i'd pop a few bucks more and get one with 2% silver in, it makes life so much easier when soldering silver wires. It eutectic as well.

There used to be a monthly electronic parking lot swap meet IN TRW building in El Segundo, by LAX. I used to buy my solder from a seller that sold used Weller WTCP soldering Irons and solder. I just throw away at least a dozen empty Kester solder spools, with the $8 price tags on them . I use 1 lb solder spool in a year. Price of lead went up few years ago. Time passes by real fast when you get old.
