I DO have heatshrink tho.

Just found a commercial DB-25 plug... It's gonna be hard to access...

Got off the the plug and I found 6 pins only.

What about that old XT card lying right next to me with a female DB-15 and DB-25?

And can I use my portable Weller butane torch when heating the heatshrink?

Hi DragonMaster,
Just remember you want the hot air, not the flame. Pass the hot air stream back and forth and you will be just fine.
