I did notice that Leak 3020s are labled as being made by Leak in Idle, Bradford-the home of Wharfedale so there is another little storyline in there somewhere
You'll find the storyline of Leak, Wharfedale and Rank in the book "A Pair of Wharfedales" by David Briggs.
The transfer of Leak to Rank took place in January 1969 and the "decision was quickly made to consolidate all the Rank hi-fi activity in the Leeds-Bradford area. During 1971 factory operations were fully re-established 'up North'."
Wharfedale/Leak synthetic purple tweeter
I might still have a pair of those.

the single capacitor across the bass unit terminals is an ELCAP 6MFD 50V item - no inductors
The cap is likely the tweeter HP, they just use the woofer for the convenient terminals.
