Yesterday I made some pictures, about 5 miles north from Redding.

Some years ago,
We had a solar eclipse that sent us into twilight, and these photos remind me of how I felt as the birds started to sing like the morning chorus.
The most over whelming feeling of not being in control of anything came over me and made a lasting impression...What really matters, what we think really matters, what’s real and what’s not...is life all an illusion...
Regards
M. Gregg

Exelent photos, friend!!!
Thank you!
Unfortunately I had to cover the lens by protective glasses, so it was shaking a bit. I did not have any sticky tape unfortunately...
We were all outside looking thru the filters from my welding helmet...
Colleague said right now, they made a hole in tin foil and took pictures.
Here is my report about weekends (Russian, but pictures speak for themselves)

Great pictures,
Its a real pain to get anything without a tripod and filters..
I have projected in the past onto paper via a magnifying glass when I had no smoked glass to watch it..

Wow. If it was not for the time stamp, I would grab one for my desktop. Very nice.
The only one I saw was about 45 years ago. Pinhole and paper, so no color, no corona. Nothing like you were able to capture.

You can grab for your desktop one frame from this movie I took:

Nice pictures. Unfortunately this one was not visible on the east coast. Though I have photographed a couple of solar eclipses in the past.
Here is a picture taken by my friend Alex Roudnev.
