Thank you Claudio, this was very helpfull. I was listening your advice, and I am getting Dell PC from friend of mine. Last night I went and got Creative Soundblaster Audigy 2 ZS Platinum pro. I figure out, I want to play with multichannel as well as measurement, and having outboard break box will be great thing. Since I am Mac lover, I will use PC only for audio stuff.
One more thing, AR2, about the Inspiron: remember that SW is memory hungry, and calculations needs a fast cpu.

As I mentioned in the previous post, I am abandoning the whole idea of lap top since it seems like pushing. A friend of mine is giving me a good Dell 700MHz machine with 500 Mb of RAM. I am sure it will do it. I just have to get use to to the PC vs Mac
