Hi Members,

I own a large PA system, I am a musician and recone speakers. Looking to learn more about cabinet and horn designs.I own quite a few books on speaker enclosure designs and would like to pursue this area further.

Can anyone kindly recommend a "Free" software that offers design parameters, cabinet dimensions etc. for Live Sound/PA use? I understand there is software such as "Eminence Designer" but would like to learn on "Free" software to start if available.

I have downloaded Win ISD Pro but not sure if this software is designed only for home stereo systems or if it can be used for Live Sound/PA cabinet designs. Please help with any links or advice. Thank you very much.

WinISD is fine for 'pro' speakers, as is HornResp
Good info on both in Subwoofers forum, though keep in mind software is only good for indicitive results, once you go up to midbass/midrange it's better to build and test

Thank you bitSmasher. Will download HornResp as well. Been awhile since I last gave HornResp a look. Looking to move out my current cabinets in favor of something I can build and move by myself (if at all possible). Love my Carvin Pro Sound cabinets but they are simply way too heavy for me. Looking to build some type of system where I can simply keep adding cabinets as the audience grows bigger and vice-versa (only bring a pair of mains for small gigs).
