you know - I spent the last two days prototype testing, it's not that slow to keep altering the level by 2dB and putting the number into an xcl sheet. And there is something nice about doing it manually ... makes you really focus on the circuit and what it is doing ...
If I was going to do it, I think I would hack one of the FOSS packages out there - I found one that was not too complex, in VBasic ... but for now, it can wait ;-)
