Right, consider the lesson learned! Sigh. Infuriating.
That's exactly the issue - despite the drawing showing the PCB land pattern on the left, the pinout on the right is the bottom view of the relay, not the top-down "xray" view as you might expect. Putting these side-by-side is bewildering, to say the least.
I can't believe:
a) ...that I missed this!
b) ...that this is common practice for relay datasheets. I wonder how often this mistake gets made?
Oh well! Thanks everyone! Going to correct the PCB and get some more produced.
You were not the first or the last to make this mistake. I forgot, transformers can also be bottom view.
