If you can find a free copy of a circuit simulator, you can emulate the circuit, its really fun.

Well, I am gonna go with Mr Elliots MOSFET based soft-start.
I've ordered everything but the most expensive parts as I haven't quite got enough money 🙁 The main transformer, lot of 2200uF caps and LM338's + heatsinks will have to wait. Luckily they're all coming from Farnell and totals > £20 minimum order, and delivery is free 🙂 I can basically pretty much build it all with the parts I have ordered though, the soft-start and amp can be completely built, just the PSU will be slightly unfinished 🙂
