Ripple eater=capacitance multiplierWhat is a ripple eater?

The original JLH ripple-eater is a form of shunt-regulator not a cap multiplier - as far as I remember.
Will it work behind a smps and if so, do you have a link? I have tried adding caps with bad results. I'd like to see what someone has had success with.
My way...
Hi, I'll build a couple of jkutemans through hole VSSA's and squeeze them into my 2 Quad-33 enclosures. SMPS or regular - don't know yet as this is at a planning state. I've heard good comments from listeners about the vssa concept so I'm intrigued to listen to some incarnation by myself. I haven't seen any participation from southern Sweden so probably Denmark or Germany would be the closest if the wife and me could possibly be invited for a listening session and hopefully exhange views on matters that needs to be enlightened from a well blended view. The dauther of the house is leaving for Greece soon to an encounter we elders are not welcome to participate. Still, we will soon have several spare rooms as I expect people in other parts of the world will have as well so maybe a list of those interested not only in VSSA but audio in general - the wifes could look at the gardens, walking the dogs or visit the beach during the technical talks 🙂 Remember no obligations - think it over - then give it a shot if you feel you can handle strangers in your house 🙂. I'm quite sure if we in an laidback manner invite eachother the world will become a better place. If you think you have to set rules - put them in your invitation or "ad"... Just a thought 🙂
Maybe there should be a sticky section for this for it self maybe?
Regards

I could not resist ...
😀
Slewmaster , of course !
-No one has let the magic smoke out - they work first time.
-Build the expensive output stage once - swap any forum amp into it.
(VSSA , symasym have been successfully tried).
-I am amazed to have had to do NO revisions , no "50 questions" about
the builds , they "want to work".
Every amp I see mentioned in the thread has a "brother".
blameless/badger = wolverine
symasym = symasui
leach = spooky
vssa = cfa-x
All on a drift-free harmon-kardon 680 triple output stage.
The 5 pair power stage can be a 3 pair/150W or a 5 pair/ 250W.
New input stages are coming soon - don't build it and be bored ! 😀

Hello world!
I'll start and say that I haven't found a post that answered my question, but i could be wrong...
I want to build few high quality amps. 🙂
I want to build up to three amps, but the number of names I saw here was a bit too large for me...
These are amps I found so far and thought to build:
JLH, Hiraga, Dx amp, diyab "Honey Badger", 100W Ultimate Fidelity Amplifier, etc...
Let me ask it this way:
What are the three diy amps that I must have/build?
And after all that, I need three Pre-Amps too. 🙂
I would like to hear your opinion about the best amps and pre that came out of this site.
Thanks,
JonKarni

Sorry, English...

Yes, yes, yes. I mentioned the Slewmaster "series" in my first post. I'm not sure if the OP wanted that much amp so I also mentioned some of my other favorites. No doubt, from a pure DIY standpoint, it is hard to beat the Slewmaster with all of its IPS choices. I waiting for layouts for the most recent releases now.
The OP also asked about Preamps. I really like my DCB1 Mezmerize. The Slewmasters don't need a preamp. A simple 10K pot is sufficient.

I second the NX amplifier, I have built one and it sounds really good. The build is also very well documented and the PCBs available from Jims Audio (authorized reseller), you can use the link provided by Still4given.
Bonsai has outdone himself with this amplifier.
Thanks
