Bit weird that the reference seems to be to something you do to a gun, not sure but maybe removing the serial number??
Tony.
Tony.
It's typical americans to be so interested in guns which are not used for hunting....
I was also surprised to find a forum about this topic.

As far as I can see...it means shortening.
Not really typically American...quite a few of my Dutch collegues have shooting as a hobby. It's typical americans to be so interested in guns which are not used for hunting
Go watch a biathalon sometime.
Guns are like any other kind of mechanical device that's fun to use- lots of people take it up as a hobby and are totally geeky about it. Sounds familiar...

I realize that I didn't put it right. What I meant was (which is probably an another debate) is why so many ordinary people have guns, revolvers etc. at home just for personal protection and also seems to use it and also children use it! We in Sweden can't understand why americans don't have any debate about limiting the amount of fire arms which is floating around.
One difference is a much higher crime rate in US than i Sweden, A harder climate?
I must also add that more weapona are floating around here also, much illegal one coming from the former east countries but normal people haven't revolvers in their bedrooms.

I think history has a lot to do with it. Canada also has a colonial past but nowhere near the murder rate the US of A has. I guess the Wild West has had a ripple effect till this day and age....Plus Sweden or any other European country for that matter have societies that are much more homogenous. One difference is a much higher crime rate in US than i Sweden, A harder climate?
I seem to remember this has been covered at length previously, and is probably not worth wasting more bandwidth on...
True.I seem to remember this has been covered at length previously, and is probably not worth wasting more bandwidth on...
I always thought of a snubber as a girl who wouldn't dance with you. Guess I was wrong
