Snobbery - How bad are Fidek speakers?

My OCD compelled me to save these speakers from a dumpster. I've tidied them up and had a listen. I can't find anything wrong with them. The low bass is possibly amongst the best I've heard from 5" drivers. The top is crisp without being harsh. The mids are typical for a 2-way bookshelf system.
Alas, I have a ton of speakers with better badges. These are going back to the dumpster.

Is the sound not more important than the badge?

You don't say which model it is, which may help answer your headline question.

Fidek speakers are a First Audio product. Manufacturing started in Hong Kong and then transferred to China.

One certainly wouldn't say that all China built loudspeakers are bad!

looks and sound are not necesairly connected to each other. A lot of the so called "high end speakers" sound terrible, while there are very cheap plastic speakers that sound wonderfull good also like the very cheap active Edifer R1280T that a friend has. He uses them outside on his terrace, laying in the windows frame playing on low volume and this speaker does that almost perfect and costed less than 100€...

The speaker that you have i don't know, but it's price does no say anything about hte quality i learned. It could be good, it could be bad whatever it looks like.
