Do you ever listen to the tiny speaker inside your iphone and say to yourself, this doesn’t sound half bad?! It’s actually quite loud and clear. 6mm x 12mm in size:

88dB at 1.55v at 10cm away in a 2cc enclosure. That’s right 0.002 Liter enclosure!

I just saw these today and wondered if they could be used in a very compact FAST with a 5in woofer for bass.

Good cheap fun. The response curve looks decent actually.

The response curve is at 10cm.

I'm pretty sure that will be messed up at 30 cm.

Pretty easy to test if you have an iPhone.
Use that as a speaker and place the mic the distance yours ears are from your PC speakers.

😀

The usual catalogue guys like digikey and mouser carry quite a few of these.

My old sony HP has a fantastic one. Super crisp treble... sensitivity is a bit low, but I think if you put 16 pieces in a line array, it would be a significant increase in sensitivity...
