One of my small SMSL amps (model SA-S3) has suddenly started to distort heavily in one channel. Wonder if anyone here have experienced the same problem with similar designs and perhaps might know what component/components might have become faulty?
Any ideas on how to best go about troubleshooting this would be greatly appreciated!

Switch the speaker cables over see if the problem moves. Do the same for the inputs as a second test, note the results. Hook the top off the amp. Look for blowing capacitors and dry solder joints on the circuit board.
I have the same amp for about 3 years no distortion here. Do what Jerms says. Looks kinds tricky to open up because of the screws in front. The back is easy just need a small Phillips screw driver. Good luck
