no problem kikodemy the 😀 indicates that kevin was being friendly!
welcome to diyAudio. Also the search menu in the top right corner of your screen may help 🙂
Tony.
Sir Pallab and all others I successfully tested my smps using SG3525 and K2611 mosfet, I captured it with my celphone camera for future posting but the problem is maybe no one may believe me becoz I used monitor flyback transfo core with a good result..I used half bridge topology and max output power may reach 500w..my load resistance is 118 ohms and the voltage is 250v..
Hmm.., thats interesting me mr.Andrewlebon,.. can you send me email about detail your project sir? zoliph@gmail.com.
Thanks and regards 🙂
Thanks and regards 🙂
yes sir zoliph im willing to post the pictures, im just so busy with my job at present that's why im not able to have extra time doing that..but i did some changes to test which ferrite core is better..now i replace the fbt core with ATX EE core the number is EE35 as shown on its body label..and it works fine also much better than fbt core in terms of power capabilty..becoz according to my measurement i can give maximum power up to 700w..so power switching transformer of ATX power supply is far better than fbt ferrite core mybe due to high magnetic flux available from it..thank for congratulating me..

Kik,
are you allowed to post a schematic of your SMPS for us?
And maybe some pics?
And what was allowed to be removed, to leave just two supplies, +-Vdc
What was left intact, to signal the voltage and current control/regulator?

yes sir andrewT..the schematic of my smps is the same as those being displayed here..with just some changes..Im still on the process of experimentation on different cores that i can have and still wondering their capability..Although my smps works fine for audio amplifier, Im still not satisfied with the power it can give..so im still trying to hit a perfect one and i will display pictures of it as soon as i make a good prototype....it is not using regulator because my smps is for audio amplifier..

ok sir zoliph I will not forget even my bad experiences with it so that maybe everyone can learn from it too..
I just rewound my GDT trafo using small ee19 trafo from pc power supply..
the primary is 70 turns (35t and 35t)..secondaries are two 70 turns..bifilar wound..
the pwm ic driver is SG3525 which its two output is directly driving the GDT trafo primary via
56 ohms resistor in series..

Guys here are the pictures of my smps
this circuit surpassed the 5 min test without overheating of mosfets
and the FBT core..
the total power is probably 680 watts rms..Rload is 45 ohms(flat iron)..actual voltage is 175volts AC..
not including the the power of halogen which is probably 120 watts..
Hope you like it,

yes I have but it's in my mind..I'll draw it if i can have time...
what do you mean by "can be standby"?

Audio amp and SMPS
Hi Guys
Im new in this forum n from what i have seen so far i think this is the best ever.
Can any one assist me in giving me schematics and PCB layouts and PCB prints please.
I would prefer a Class d amp of more than 600watts RMS and SMPS of more than 1000w. Thank u in advances.
U can send to my email address below
