SMD film capacitors are almost always polyester due to wave soldering requirements. The electrodes are generally aluminum resistively deposited. They are generally "stacked" film construction.
There are many companies across the world that supply the raw materials (Met. Polyester) but I would venture to say most of them do not deposit copper.
