😱 I was like a bull at a gate, when i tried to unsolder smd opamps on my Technics cd player.

Ive done the best I can do at bridging some silver wire, as you can the board has had some damage. I just have to clean up the other side. I am off to get a finer tip tomorrow.

Another question is related to the opamp, further away from the output section. It appears to be in the spindle section, so just in case i ordered another 4558. The Elna Cerafine is in the audio and silmic and kz are in the power. The connector runs to the laser mech

To remove this type of chip, use plenty of flux and desolder braid. The size of the iron bit makes only a small difference.I have used a large bit as I can desolder all four leads at once making a cleaner job. (Hot air and flux is best). When desoldered, use a fine steel wire, top B of a guitar is good, to lift each lead in turn. When unsoldered, twist the IC on the board to break the bond if any. In your photo use a single strand of fine flex to link the damaged lands. 30swg is good.
