smaller transformer for amplifiers

I think this is a guy wanting to realise his obsession. There is no logical reasoning that can accommodate obsessive desire or behaviour but perhaps there is a misunderstanding of what diyAudio forum is about and we understand audio as a technology governed by proven science and recognized design techniques. There are also practical issues like the availability of suitable components that could well cost many times what you may consider affordable, particularly for anything non-standard or obsolete, which is inevitable with experimental tube technology.

Maybe just ignore or play along and learn something, like the facts about what he really hopes to achieve and whether his goals are clearly defined and fundamentally doable or just an imaginative mind at work with the symbols of popular vintage technology in whatever jargon he uses to describe musical formats. Maybe drop this into the lounge forum??

Even so, output transformer will remain the same.

In other of his multiple threads on same subject, somebody calculated that on filaments alone he had almost 50 W continuous consumption, let alone high voltage needs.
That´s why I suggested a truck bed or trailer, and a gasoline generator.
That is possible, I have setup similar systems many times .... but in a backpack??? 😱

As a side note, and fully on the subjective realm , high gain tube amps are used for Metal Rock music, in any of its variants, NOT for Acid Trance, which typically uses lots of keyboards, synthesizers, sampled sounds, and Guitars typically into SOLID STATE amps, through fuzzy buzzy Fuzz pedals.

Acid trance

Musical genre

Acid trance is a genre of trance music that emerged in the early 1990s focusing on using the acid sound. The trademark sound of "acid" is produced with a Roland TB-303 by playing a sequenced melody while altering the instrument's filter cutoff frequency, resonance, envelope modulation, and accent controls.

Go figure.

YOU tell ME what the h*ck might a Heavy Metal Tube Guitar amp do there 😱

They have changed 60 Hz to 100 kHz. It’s called a switch mode power supply. If there was ever an application that screamed for one, having it in a backpack is it. I’d still use a solid state amp here though. Too many things that can go horribly wrong.
