Even worse, some of my ancestors enjoyed singing while standing on a burning pile of wood.
Even today, my family members have the most original ways of getting killed. :xeye:
I am a rational person, but too many funny stuff happened to me on Friday13, i stay inside that day and do absolutely nothing.
Thank you for the favor, Jens.

Hi,

You should rent all those Friday13 movies on Thursday so that you can watch them all the next day since you stay inside anyway!

The Butcher😀

Until Thursday the 12th of May you can just update the wiki. After that I will calculate the final price, and you will confirm via emails from you with a confirmed order along with your complete address.

Payment via bank transfer or paypal is preferred. If this is not possible, we will have to find some other means of payment. Let's deal with that when the time comes. For now just update the wiki and on Thursday I will post the final prices.

Hi Jens,
paypal.com/uk shows this table of fees.

Multiple Currency Transactions Exchange rate includes a 2.5% fee* Exchange rate includes a 2.5% fee*

The table seems to show that receiving money and foriegn currency attract fees all else is free.
Paypal at your end might be different.
Here in the UK the currency conversion takes account of the 2.5% and the only "extra" the buyers would pay would be 1.9%. You would need to add this to the total costs.

Best way in Europe is by bank transfer.
Transfer costs from one to an other EU country is no higher than national transfers, since Januari 2003.
Depending on whether it is an internet transfer or by an international transfer form costs are between 0.15 and 1 Euro.

For Paypal transfers, payments by bank transfers add only the costs for the international money transfer.
Payments by creditcard add the Paypal fee: 3.4 % + 0.35 Euro
Plus the currency exchange costs.
Those should apply to Denmark too.

This may be a little late to ask, but has anyone in the USA thought about maybe doing a group buy for this side of the Pond. It's starting to look like the shipping and fees will be as much as the boards themselves. I pretty new to all of this so if I'm way out of line here please tell me.

Jens said that he is not in this for any profit so wouldn't it be alright to have some boards made here using his design as long as we give him credit? Are there no reputable board manufacturers here in the States?

Thanks, Terry

Terry,

sending boards by mail in the US costs money too, PayPal costs, and creditcard companies have been charging money for transactions for a long time.
Jens got 5 % off on top of the previous mentioned rate.

If you can get enough people together in the US to order +100 boards, who knows.
I just saw the number is at 120, it would not surprise me if we reached +129 by the 12th.
Personally, i am very pleased with these boards for the total plus extra's at 120 pieces on the order list, and i'm Mr Scrooge.
I suspect Mr Dickens was originally Dutch named Mr Dick and changed his name when he split.
The boards i already received from Jens are the best i have ever had my hands on, and those cost me more.

If i step in my car i can be in Denmark this evening, Jens and I are practically neighbors.
Sending the boards to you costs $ 7 more for 6 boards, a Dollar 17 the board, relatively speaking i am the one paying a lot for extra's.
I see 6 boards for 3 adresses in California, Jens could send all 6 to one of the three and you deal with distributing then.

FTR:
if Jens doesnt feel for doing a Super Leach with a setup for the large package Sanken and Toshiba devices i have at a later date i will certainly ask him for the Leach files to remodel the layout and do the boards myself.
(i've got every pcb designing package you can think of in Pro editions, all the other hardware to make boards, even experimented with making Teflon boards, check out the going rate for Teflon's)
I think i even offered you to make a set of Super Leach boards for you for the going rate of 1 package of 20 original US no filter cigarettes!

Thanks jacco,

I know it costs money to mail things here in the US but no where near what it costs to mail across the ocean. PayPal doesn't cost anything if you pay out of a bank account if it is within the the US. It costs extra if it is to another country.

I'm not Mr Scrooge though I played him in a Christmas program once. 😀 I just hate not knowing how much something costs. When it X amounts dollars and then Plus tax + shipping + PayPal fees + whatever, it makes me crazy. I'm sure the board Jens is having made are first rate. Never doubted it for a minute. Mabe the only reason there are only three address in CA is because of all the fees to get them here. I ordered heatsinks from Australia and it cost as much for the shipping as the heatsinks cost. I feel like I should own a UPS truck by now. I think I've at least paid for one.

Anyway, I said I was new to this. This is my first try at "group buy". IF it awas a dumb question, it won't be my last.

I remember your kind offer to make me some boards. I haven't bought a pack of smokes since I whipped that nasty habit 8 years ago. :dead:

Working at home, That would be great. I'll watch for it.

Blessings, Terry

Terry,

it is the fool who orders a meal in a restaurant not knowing he will be working in the kitchen later to pay the tab.

It is wise to see what the cost will be up front, and think of ways not to spend without necessity.
As Brian (i am learning) reconfirmed, as he is willing to do the distributing thing in the US, postal costs can be a lot lower.
With +40 boards, at the moment, going to the North Americas you probably will have lower postal charge than me.
If required i could pay for your boards and you could send me the money in an envelope.

The idea was that I smoked the Camel's, not YOU !!! :xeye:
