I was looking for information on small (miniature Valve guitar amps)
And I found this I had to post it....😀..I think there are so cool..
Why do I get the itch to build one..😀..alas there is no circuit..
The site is here..

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

So cute 🙂
I have been tempted to build one as i have a stash of 6021/6111 and 6BF7 tubes to try. If you find a good schematic please share...

Ideas for Schematics in the "100 buck amp challenge" thread.
My posts on pages 133 and 140 have been looking for a home. I even have the speakers 🙂

OK guys,
Mine is a bit bigger (200 x 150 x 80mm) and weights circa 2.0 kg, but :
- it is a standalone unit : no external adaptor is required, it is powered directly by 230VAC mains.
- it uses a standard Noval format tube (an ECL86 / 6GW8 triode-pentode).
- it uses an AlNiCo 5"1/2 NOS 60's speaker.
- it delivers 2.5W RMS clean sound.
So considering that, I think that my RADIO-TONE amp can be accepted in this Small Tube Amps category...
A "desktop" guitar amp...
Compared to a biscuits metal box...
A quick sample, made in the recording situation as illustrated above :

A+!

Hi guys,
just found this thread, I'm glad you liked my builds.
The schematics of some builds are visible at my photobucket:
Thomas_Eduardt_Hafemann's Library | Photobucket
like this one:
And some videos on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/user/Thomashaf

In my new approach I will try to use the PCl86 in a single tube head, as this:
A SMPS will provide the 200V-230V HV from a 12V wall wart, I just need to find a small 7k SE output transformer, since the transformer I was using has 11k and is a modified power transformer.
Tubelectron, I already asked some questions about your amp in another forum, but at that time I was looking for a speaker, now I'm interested in what kind of output transformer you used. Is that a champ transformer?
Is the hammond 125ase an option? I read it handles 3W, but only 25mA.
Probably my build won't work with max. plate dissipation, as I'm also reducing the plate voltage.
The PCL86 looks like a better choice than the PCL84, and the triode also has a little more gain.
Cheers,
Thomas
