Small scan speak LDC6 monitor

I'm looking for small professional monitor speakers with scan speak drivers.
First I was looking to the reference monitor at this link:

But later I've found a smaller one with contains nearly the same drivers. It is a closed box design from Vance Dickason.
The speaker is in his design cookbook the six edition. You can build the speaker using this link:

Did anyone build these speakers. How is the sound.
Vance talks in his book about a -3db point of 54 Hz. This is during a simulation with a computer program "leap".
Does the speakers have to less bass or is the bass more then acceptable for it's size?

I'll hear all kind of reactions of anyone who have build these speakers.

Don't underestimate the A4 monitor, it is by far the best minimonitor i've ever heard!. It doesn't have the magic of the ref monitor (especially in the lower bass-extension), and is more costly...
