Hi all
After alot of experimenting with my logitech z2300 sub setup I have decided to at least build another small active subwoofer.
The driver will be a 8" Dayton rss210hf-4 in a small (9-15 liter) sealed cabinet
It will work with my chipamp + anthony Gallo Nucleus micro speakers. Maybe even alongside the old z2300 in the new cabinet I built.
There seem to be 3 ready made amps:
Dayton SA100
Hypex DS1.2
Conrad Active 100W
Which one would you guys recommend, or have I missed a (DIY?) possibility?

Any other comments on driver / design / whatever are welcome of course, though the driver is already bought (could be send back if needed).

If your were to pick out of the 3 amps i would go for the hypex as it is more powerfull and Hypex is reliable. But the best way is if you build one. Because aslong as you use quality components your can be sure its good and you will have some self pride in it aswell. (Definatley a good choice)
The sub is excellent but if your were to change it for a sub the same size and around the same price i would change it to either a Morel MW-266 as 1st choice or Dynavox LW8004PMR as 2nd. As they both have heavier cones it would have to go in a larger cab. 😀

I think I'd ditch the Logitech subwoofer and just use one of those Daytons.
It also looks like the driver would do best in a ported box (the medium Qts suggests so), so perhaps using a single, larger subwoofer would be better than trying to match up two different ones (with the messy phase response of a ported cabinet, it'd be difficult to get a sealed one to integrate properly).

At the end of the day I will probably ditch the logitech. Interesting comment on the phase problems though! Will defenitely keep that in mind!
