he's wanting this to play music to cover the "idiot" neighbors generator sounds, yet carry on a conversation with the old lady. sounds like a tall order > super loud pink noise me thinks
Try celestial white noise from radio telescopes. The sound of the universe being born.

Whahahahaaaa! 😀 probably won't be playing full blast all the time
Does anyone here have experience with the TDA7377 chip?
It's available at my local store for ZAR15 (US $1.25), it requires very few parts so I can etch the board myself, it looks like it will run nicely with 2 x 4" 4Ohm car speakers, so it will run off a 7Ah Gel Battery for 2 hours without discharging deeper than 50%.
My default choice for speakers will be Cheap-n-Nasty Pioneer TS-G1015R Dual Cone 4" speakers to get an idea of entry level sound. The 2 Way alternative in the same price range is the TS-1045R's
A nice upgrade will be the Polk DB351 3.5" 2 Way speakers, but they are 3 times the price. Will it be worth it?
