Hello,
(I tried to set up this thread yesterday but because of some title editing it disappeared)
I have very limited space for two 15 in woofers in OB configuration therefore I would like to use another solution to get from as low as possible to 200 Hz, maybe 170-180 Hz.
Came across this video. Is it possible to stack more units and to control them well? I have Behringer A500 to drive bass units and miniDSP for EQ and XO. If its useless (in video id does not sound well, but maybe there is potential in it) then what other options are there for small factor open baffle, baffleless or dipole bass using >12inch drivers?
RS

The smaller the baffle, the more compensation is required to counteract the acoustic short between the two sides of the driver, and beyond a certain point you will start to exceed the xmax of the driver before you get anywhere near useful output.
Smaller options for an OB are U or H frames http://www.quarter-wave.com/OBs/U_and_H_Frames.pdf

Thank you vacuphile, I read this paper few months ago. Still, few drivers stacked would make it much more compact than any H baffle. And the frequency response would suffer since they would need to be close to wall (8in). Right now I need to use active sub to fill the bass before 80hz because of that :/
