I have the same issues with my Win XP Professional 32 Bit/FF27.0.1/Avast Free Antivirus machine, but none of it with another WIN 7 Professional 64 Bit/FF 27.0.1/Avast Free Antivirus system. So I suspect the OS.
Best regards!

Psafe locks up.
I was trying to upload "garagebandforwindows" on my XP machine.........the program of course had "PSafe" as a rider "anti-viral" program......my poor XP ground down to a halt, locked up...beware all.

I'm running FF28.0 and am seeing sporadic slow downs where my cursor has a blinking circle next to it.
I've seen this both on my machine at work (Win 7 HPZ620) and at home (Linux 14). If I close the browser tab for diyAudio, the problem ceases immediately. When I open a new tab and go to diyAudio, it usually is fine for a while and starts acting up again.
I've only seen the problem when I have a tab open with diyAudio in it.
When this happens, it effects my entire system. For instance, if I try to edit a document in word I can type and not see any text addition for several seconds.
Selecting other programs will result in a long pause before any activity is seen.

I noticed something like this occasionally over the last few days. (I also have Firefox 28.) It seems to be related to Adobe Flash - at least, going to Task Mangler and shutting down Flash seems to clear the problem.I'm running FF28.0 and am seeing sporadic slow downs where my cursor has a blinking circle next to it. . . .

I am running FF 28.0 and have not updated Flash in a couple of months and do not seem to be having an issue so far. OS is Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit.. I pretty much always have at least one diyA tab open at all times, and often many more.
I'm running 12.0.0.77 and there is a newer version 13.0.0.182, so I guess I'll try to update it and see if that fixes it.
I noticed today that I have problems with You Tube as well, which would be using the flash player also. So this is a high probability.

Well, no joy.
It comes and goes, but is still here. When it happens it is like near 100% cpu utilization is happening.
I can move the cursor, but I can not click on anything.

I have not had any issues with Firefox on this site, with 28.0 or any previous versions.
I am running linux though.

If I disable all add-ons the problem stops. The only add-on I have is avast's security. Still using XP...
I got a new laptop build a few days ago. moved from XP to win7 64bit enterprise. I loaded waterfox 28.0 instead of firefox, it seems to be much more compatible than earlier versions, and is very snappy! Not sure if that is the new build or waterfox but no complaints as yet!
I haven't installed the flash plugin, but surprisingly youtube works out of the box... Will avoid installing flash as long as I can 🙂

I uninstalled Firefox, went to the program directory and removed the remnants, went to my personal folder and drilled down to remove the files there, and then installed FF from Scratch.
Same results.
Looks like I'll quit using FF and just use IE.

Hi, I'm using FF with Win 7 Pro now and have had no issues, another of my PCs was using it with XP Pro with no issues either (just upgraded that one to 7 Pro and it is fine with FF). I would check your firewall and anti virus settings for a conflict. BTW the programs Ghostery and Addblock Plus are great add ons to FF. Very few issues.
