Often, the design permutations seem to be
discouragingly never ending, especially when each one must be auditioned to
assess it's impact and the direction of the next variation.
Replace "discouragingly" with "delightfully" and you will have
described the process.

I am curious to ask: after playing with these devices for almost two years, do you envision their use in bigger ams, like the Pass lab products ? My question is purely academic, as I cannot afford any of FW or PL product 🙂

Not an easy proposition, as the SIT-1 device has a small die. A larger version
of the SiC process is beyond my willingness to spend.
The 2SK77 would be a candidate for more power if you could get any. I am
informed that the fab line in Japan that could make them was damaged
in the quake, so a likely a different foundry would be necessary, assuming
that the gentleman who knows how to make them is still available and
interested.
Short answer: Very Big Bucks.
