I think four 6Ñ19Ï triodes per channel in class A will exceed maximum current ratings (140mA) on output power of 1.5W with 8 Ohm load. Am I wrong?

Use something like IRFPG50.

I believe you´re right. IIRC each tube in the SE OTL operates at 110mA, so the total quescent current is 440mA per channel (I might be wrong here). Assuming the current swings from cutoff to 2x440mA the output should be something like 0,7-0,8W @ 8R.
Just for the record: I have a DIY amp built by the same concept but with 4 x PL504 per channel and it sounds plain marvellous.
Currently I´m collecting parts for a new amp with 8 x 6S19 per channel, it should give something like 2x2,5W @8R and consume about 300W...
