Simulated Speakers and Amp Z

Hi everyone!

I find it a lot easier to explain theory with working models. Been having some discussions about speaker impedance, and the interaction with amplifiers. So I used XSim to build the Stereophile simulated 2-way speaker load:

I exported the system Z file, and then used that ZMA file to create a simulated driver with ideal FR.

Now I can use this to simulate amplifiers with different output Z and show how this affects the total system response.

Admin: Sorry if this is in the wrong place. Not sure who would be most interested. 🙂

I include my source docs so please feel free to enhance, correct, etc.

Best,

Here is the simulated FR curve of an amplifier with a 10 Ohm and 0.1mH output Z. As we can see, the frequency response has a 3dB spread. Now, it's also interesting this could sound desirable. The presence and high treble are definitely enhanced.
