I thought it was 36-0-36. If it was dual winding, you could have a separate one for each channel.
Its 18-0-18V not 18+18V but no problem since he just needs the across value 36V here. Maybe he got two of those Tx.

Nothing much, enjoy. Do you manage to listen with low hum & buzz when still in the open?
I have to turn the volume almost all the way to max to hear buzz and a whining sound, which i guess will dissapear when i box the boards! 🙂
Seems rather normal at this state. Whining should be further harmonic noise because oscillation in open loop is more difficult. Is it like mid-bass whining? Like boiling, or like a whistle?
More like a whistle and located on one channel, it is really faint though. Just rechecked and i turned volume to max and standed about half a meter from speaker to listen

If you mean the interconnect cable coming from the TT is a coaxial. The cables from the rca to board is PTFE silver plated cable which i didnt even twist very well
