What is the easiest Solid state amp to build (home audio). It'll be my first time and I somewhat have an understanding of resistors, capacitors, and such. Should be a fun project for me. 😀 Thanks

Definately the easiest amplifier to build.
I really hope this order pushes people to finish their projects in a timely matter... unlike the other huge Aleph-X orders, where I have only seen a couple of finished amps with the 2000+ boards shipped out. I am going to organize a contest after a large portion of the kits are shipped out, trying to provide incentives for finishing projects with the kits. I won't post details until the time comes.

If you really mean simplest and easiest you can build one consisting of one transistor 2-4 resistors ans 1-2 capacitors. You can usually find the schematic in introductory books such as John Linsey Hood's "The Art of Linear Electronics, Delton Horn's "Amplifiers Simplified", or G. Randy Slone's "Electricity and Electronic's". At least one of these can be found in most main city libraries. they are all prett similar.
Some facts (amazing and otherwize) about these amp designs:
* They work! Now that's amazing.
* They don't work all that well. Hardly amazing.
* They are actually used in consumer products! That's sort of amazing. I discovered this when I prised open the powered "multi-media" speakers that came packed with my PC. One transistor / speaker - honest. At $25, these must have the highest markup in the audio industry.

Took the diagram, and build the amp point-to-point with anything
I could find in my component box. No transistors and capacitors
are similar with the diagram, but I was very impressed with the
sound. No, not the sound, I was impressed with my enjoyment with the music. I think JLH has the same character.
