your link took me to post501.I know what's on your mind, something like this or even more outputs. 😀
Where was I supposed to go, to see "this"?

Hey Alex you read my mind, great
Today I just started prototyping exactly this sch as you can see on the pic. But the board, hehe will check it tomorrow, it looks sooo good. Many thanks to you Alex and to all SSA thread followers. 😉

Lasy car you have treasur of transistors. I look around and 2sa1478/2sc3788 are quite difficult to find...
How have plan to provide +/-60V ?

Lazy Cat,
A few question here;
1) Can you please post the parts listing for SSA BIGBT 1.1 and the version that uses Lateral MOSFet [rev. 1.4 on Alex MM PCB], in order for us DIYer see the specified rating for each part, also it would be very helpful if you can include possible substitute for the given devices. I will be checking my local supplier if these devices is available to them.
2) Will it be possible to use any suitable PSU+DC protect on this amp? [I am thinking of using one of APExAudios’ PSU design] Hopefully APEXAudio will allow me... It is very encouraging for a DIYer like for an amp design that includes DC protect on board, however my interest is on both L-MosFET and BIGBT Basic that uses 24VAC supply. Any plans in including DC-protect on these versions?
NICO RAS,
Your PCB version is of different kind, will you share the PCB lay-out for etching?
Alex MM,
Please to not tire in providing remarkable PCBs to DIYAudio for without it, DIYer like me will surely find building an amp to be a very tedious and slow progress. Your continuing effort is surely invaluable. Thank you!
It was reassuring to know that authorities on amp building in DIYAudio has been complimenting a lot on the SSA design, the likes of AKSA, DESTROYER X, WaHAB, MiiB, AndrewT...to name a few and of course NICO RAS.
Regards,
ACO

HI.
The SSAstage and the listening-impresions given by members and constructor looks very promising!
I wonder if this outputstage can be used ?
My simulator says yes, but I`m not a simulatorwisard as some of you are.
I`m in the prosess of building a Amp with this output, ( bought and matched transistors)
but I`ll be happy if I can use SSA instead of the complicatet Electrocompaniet schematic.

How do you make the thumbnails that pops up to full size when one clicks on it?
I`m not a computerwisard either.

I think it is simply a case of "manage attachments".
DIYaudio does it for you.
Compress your file from .BMP to some other that gives good definition and small file size. Try .PNG

SSA BIGBT Basic PWS
Yes I know, they are special transistors. Look to BF471/472, BF871/872, 2SC2911/2SA1209 or similar TO-126, 60MHz and higher transistors. 😉
Here's how you get +/-60V. 😀
P.S. I am a Lazy Cat not a car. 🙂

Thank you Andrew T.
I`ll try it.
Have you looked at the schematic?
Hi styrkv 😉
Your sch looks very promising, if you calculated all stages bias currents it will work. SSA front-end will do the job. 🙂

SSA is very simple front-end, symmetrically low-Z GND referenced, consequently resulting in low noise, high stability, minimal DC offset and because of the CF loop, very high speed. 😉
Thank you Lazy Cat.
It`s not fully tested for biascurrents for the front with the higher rails, but I`ll make myself a inputcard and try it out.
The output schematic is from Electrocompaniet AW 120 DMB, with one extra op-pair and emitterresistors

Lasy Cat, sorry for your mistaken name....and thanks for answer. 50V. 0.5A per rail are the just power rating Or it could be less? I haven't tranny with so such output but i have 2 nice Rcore 500va 2x36V...

SSA's front-end collector current is not rails potential dependant as long as they are higher than 15 V. The only limiting parameters are cascode BJT's Vcemax and Pmax. 😉
