Simple preamp with tone control - advice needed

Hello

I am going to make my first tone control and need some advice.

The plan is as bellow at the schematic.

Volume pot at the front --> simple old school buffer --> tone controll or direct.

Now there is a few things I do not know:

1.Phase inversion after tone control is used -> can I leave it as it is or the output should be in phase ??

2.The j-fet buffer is biassed at approx 3mA, would be better to bias it with 1.5kR resistor at 10mA?

3.In this case is the output impedance of the buffer sufficient to do the job ??

In the tone controll I have used 50kR pots (I have a few nice alps ones on the shef).

4. Would it be better in therms of sonics to load the j-fet buffer with a CCS (putt another j-fet with resistor)?

For any sugestions/improvements BIG THANKS

Regards
Peter
