Agree totally with HiFiddle
😀

I have used 4xGB150D monoblocks with my Orions M&T about 4 months now and I can say that these are piece of art without doubt. With Benchmark DAC + SKA:s M&T + UCD:s W + Linkwitz Orions, I can enjoy music very much as it is. No need to "improve" something anymore.

Hi ! 🙂

My GB150D is successfully finished! 🙂

This was my first DIY project and I can say it was very easy to build.

The sound quality is impressive! I already knew by reading the other DIYers reviews it was a very good sounding amp but I never though it was so good!

The sound is detailed, smooth, powerful and involving. 3D image is amazing. The GB150D seems to be at home with whatever type of music it amplifies- from classic to jazz, pop and rock, it reproduces music wonderfully.

It's a very natural amp, not coloured, with punchy bass and beautifull treble . Voices also sound natural and present - it's almost if I had Diana Krall or Norah Jones in my room!

I'm listening to my CD collection all over again trough the GB. I hear life and detail I never noticed before!

This is a very special amp, magical. I don't know how a so cheap and easy to build amp (If I build it anyone can build it) could sound like something very but really very hi-end and expensive!

Cheers,
Paulo.

Hi KL

It's one of the best amps I ever heard. Maybe the best! 🙂
It combines simplicity to build with and outstanding sound quality!
I have heard some very expensive comercial amps at audioshows and audio stores that didn't came close to the quality of the 150D!

Does your 150D include the extra mods Greg has specified?

Yes, I did the zener mod.

Cheers,
Paulo.

Hi all

My 1st post!

Im the proud new owner of the ska macca built
I been listening to it for awhile now.sadly biamped
i really need better speakers and source.
But it a huge improvment over the pioneer i replaced .
I love the bass to my ears it seems more extended and with ease.
seems their is an extra set of speakers in the room at times.an effect the poineer never produced on it`s best day

well thats it for commenting on it from this system

soon it gets hooked to a set of dali 8`s
the prototype model 350w rms and a beautiful sounding set of speakers from the 80`s

i will post back after we hook it to them baby`s
that should be a fun day indeed!
