I am giving credit for the quote to Peter Walker. I am surprised you don't recognise his name. He as the founder of Quad and developer of very famous products such as the ESL 57 loudspeaker and Quad II tube amp.

The 57 isn't that impressive.

Meantime, Peter Walker (Acoustical Mfg. Ltd.) and David Williamson (Ferranti Ltd., Edinburgh) were designing and building the very first Quads.
Around 1963, according to legend, Peter Walker set out, on his own this time, to improve on the original Quad ESL.
