Hello
I am building my new cabinet and i am building my horn for my compression driver (Altec 806).
To test the horn first I need to find the easiest way to make a high pass filter cutting at 900hz to protect the compression (I will make the definitive filter once all be finished)
could someone help me?

You need to measure impedance at crossover region. If it's fairly flat then calculate the needed capacitor to put in series with the driver
I don't use a hardware filter. In Holmi Impulse, I set the lowest measurement frequency, say 500Hz, and everything works as it should. I assume that this option exists in every measuring software. Before measuring, I check with an old driver whether it really starts from 500Hz and then I measure. And a simple 2nd order LC filter can be made at the desired frequency, only that will affect the measurement. I don't think it's a problem for a dynamic driver to measure the frequency range even without a filter or limiter at low power (below 1W), only the ribbons must not be measured without a filter or software limitation. No filter should be used to measure impedance, it is done with low power.
