If I want to take the output directly off the pins of a Crystal CS4329 DAC, do I have to do anything special?
1. Specifically, if I take +AOUT (or -AOUT for that matter), can I route this directly to the RCA plug, or do I have to add "something"?
2. Do I have to in any way terminate the other output (the one I do not use), or can I just leave the pin floating?
Thanks in advance.

A single output will have DC and noise superimposed on the signal. Try scope'ing the pin and you'll have trouble seeing any audio at all. You might even wipe out AM radio reception in the vicinity!
The recommended differental circuit on the data sheet works quite well😉
