I used an idea from Sam's Linear Audio article, keeping Vds ~2.6V, and using an APV1122 MOSFET driver to bias the CPH5905 JFET.
Unfortunately I left the generator on so there is some pickup. Gain is just under 20dB. 1/f noise doesn't look that great.
