Need xsim help.
I've done a sim for a 1980 Speakerlab 7WA DIY kit. There's no zma or frd files. The plotted FR shows some severe dips at the xo points. Shouldn't the FR's be summed at the xo points for a smoother response? The schematic matches what the Speakerlab engineers worked out back in the day.
Let me know what you think.

Reversing the polarity on the mid did smooth the response out significantly.
Thanks, I'll have to try both hookups when implementing the design in the loudspeakers.

Being these tweet and mid horn loaded units, it could be that the correct final acoustic response comes from a plus plus plus electrical connection...
Question, are you sure the 10 and 12 " aren't reversed? The 10" seems to get more bass. 🙂
Maybe this is an illusion since you don't have the actual impedances yet.
Best,
Erik
