I have worked with musicians in recording and broadcasting studios for many years. I can't actually recall any of them claiming to be able to hear a difference between cable types apart from defective cables that were either noisy or discontinuous!

The bizarre beliefs of the audiophool fraternity - akin to religions - are based on nothing more than faith and confirmation bias. They paid $500 for a cable, so it must be better than the one I made for $1.50. They even refuse to believe the evidence of their own ears in blind testing - the tests are flawed, or we cheated in some way, or our cable didn't really cost $1.50, or the connectors on the amplifier were defective, or the moon phase was waning....... Anything but accept the reality of the daylight robbery committed by most "audio" cable manufacturers. 😱

Most of the audio cable "makers" don't actually "manufacture" anything at all. They just buy cheap Chinese cables and then label them with their own product names and multiply the price many times. The Chinese factories will even stamp your brand name into the plastic moulding of the plugs for a cent or two! 😉
So, is this your way of generating converts? Berate the dickens outta them, insult their intelligence, tell them they're fools?

Or are you simply using this forum to vent because you don't have a dog to kick around?

I've gently requested you tone it down, I ask again.

Not everyone is blessed with your incredible acumen in science, electrical engineering, nor your vast experience, which clearly exceeds the sum of all the posters here.

You do understand sarcasm, I hope..
Ps. I'm not looking for you to go away, I would just like a more positive attitude. Yes, many of the concepts espoused are certainly incorrect, but you push away both the people you disagree with, as well as those that do. You bring your experience here with you, that is a plus in my mind.

Yea, read the thread - so tell us how many identified the copper wire as the original out of what sample size?
Why don't you tell us?

I'll let you find all the fault you want with the test, then propose a better one.
No hand waving or moving goals allowed. it was a valid test, done under whatever conditions each person wanted to use. No excuses about A/B, ABX, not the right equipment, listener fatigue, recording loop compromises, etc. The tests has none of those limitations.

Bottom line, if I ran the test again, would you be willing to take it?

I just saw that Morrow Audio has changed their cables from silver plated copper to solid copper. They say this is an improvement and I agree. To me silver plated copper sounds bad, too much high freq. Solid copper is much more enjoyable to listen to. I wonder if they had too many complaints when they used silver plated copper. They are also using a higher conductor count now. I think the cables are still un-shielded.

The tests has none of those limitations.

Someone gives you three files or you go to the audio salon and take 3 demo DACs home to test in any way that you want. I want to see the reasoning behind those being different starts to the same process.

I suspect some forum guys were behind the files so they are tainted by their biased bad mojo (hidden information you know). 😉
