Silmic II or Silmic II ?

Does anybody know the difference on the two types of Silmics.
The boring looking ones you get from most European vendors (brown,grey)
and the more cool looking glossy ones (brown,gold) from Ebay?😕

If you can believe what you find on the internet then apparently the Brown/grey are ROHS compliant and the Red/gold aren't. This would probably (but I don't know) indicate that the red/gold ones are old stock.

I just bought some 470uf/16v from fleabay Datecode 1040. My best guess is that it means year 10 week 40. Not that old. but it could ofcourse be none Rohs.🙂. What is important to me is that the function is the same.
