Silly Nusery Rhymes Twists From the Past

Sing a song of sixpence
A pocket full of rye.
Four and twenty blackbirds
Baked in a pie.

When the pie was opened,
The birds began to sing.
Wasn't that a dainty dish
To set before the king?

The king was in his counting house,
Counting out his money.
The queen was in the parlour,
Eating bread and honey.

The maid was in the garden,
Hanging out the clothes.
When down came a blackbird
And pecked off her nose!

This is a very interesting exercise in memory recall. If you would have asked me a few days ago to come up with five different nursery rhymes from memory I seriously doubt that I could have done it.

But after bringing back one of them others seem to just automatically pop into my mind. I'm not even trying to recall them. They just pop up. Very interesting.

It's like the mind has a mind of its own.
