Late to this thread as well, but I own and have used a pair of SILK P-545R push pull 40W transformers in a 6l6GC amp and a pair of SILK S-303 SE transformers in a SET 6A3 amp. Both worked well. I'm a by-ear sort of reviewer, and I'd rate the pp in the same category as the big James transformers and a bit worse than a pair of high $ Tango I have. The S-303 in the single ended amp are interesting. mids and highs work in my system super well. Who knows what synergies are in play, but for bi-amping mids and highs, they are awesome. I have an open frame SILK power choke as well, that has to be miles away from everything else not to introduce hum.
And shipping to NZ was cheap @mdpaudio.

What is the mfg year of the AN OPT's you refer to? My AN's in the Wyetech amp are late 90's mfg and the silk 24 mfg clearly bettered it. I would imagine a newer AN OPT would be more competitive to the Silk. Vacuum tube valley reviewed several OPT's many years ago and the AN opt from the apprx same generation as mine scored very favorably in their reviews.Either audio transformer is great. Slight edge to Silk IMO.
It was around $250How much was shipping to the US? I’m guessing $300!
