silencing & cooling with closed system

Newbie here,
I admire anyone with the practical qualities to make a DIY projector. I'm more a theoretician as the following may show.

Has anyone considered outputting the projector hot air to something like a turbocharger intercooler then recirculating the cooler air back into the projector?

I would imagine much of the air and fan noise would be contained within the system.

A restricting dust-filter would also not be needed.

I have got an improvement by installing a "chimney" to direct the hot air/noise upward and a "hush-box" arrangement, but I always want more!

never melt fans, this is configuration of our commercial projector

A sealed system wouldn't work.

The heat from, let's say your 400W lamp, needs to get somewhere, u can't just cool it away.

The "turbocharger intercooler" cools the air but itself will get hot in the process.

Unless someone invented an *energy-destroyer* 😀
