Hi everyone, I'm about to build a tone / signal generator that is activated by camera pan movement
I've found a DIY signal generator (velleman mk105) but I'm looking for ideas on how to trigger from camera movement
I need to generate a tone signal whenever the camera pans left according to the "mid" position. When it crosses the mid-position and pans right, the tone should be shut off.
Is there an easy way to implement a motion sensor, or should I go with a switch? I'd like the device to be flexible to use on all types of camera tripods, that's why I think a motion sensor (perhaps with a "reset" function to calibrate the middle-position) would be the best. I only need triggering from horizontal panning
Any input would be highly appreciated 🙂

You want a tone only while it is in motion? Or do you want the tone steady on whenever the camera is aimed left of center?
