Anyone have functional SIDAC spice models? The ones I have tried like below don't seem to work properly. They act similar to a bidirectional TVS diode versus a thyristor. I've tried old Intusoft and newer manufacturer models. All the DIAC models I have tried seem to work OK

I believe I am meeting the minimum current requirements. I have a thread over on the LTSpice site and Bordodynov agreed that the models don't work properly. I just tried his "new" model and it seems to work. I will breadboard up a test circuit and confirm.
Below is one of my comments:
"I have been designing with SIDACs since the 90's. I primarily use them in Datacom surge protectors, CAT5 etc. We normally tested the surge protectors using a curve tracer. There is no way the source Z of the curve tracer is low. The series R is >10K Ohms."

Thank you.. thank you. This is a much more promising model. Thanks for also cross posting on the LTSpice site.
I don't understand how these models persisted all this time. They date back to the 90's from Intusoft. I haven't used Intusoft Spice since the late 80's or early 90's. Waay too long to remember....
