SiC diode -as filament rectifier- dissipation (due to the greater forward voltage) is two-three times greater than Schottky's dissipation. I never use SiC in this position.
Increased voltage drop will cause higher dissipation at the currents we worry about for filaments, I doubt it will make much difference otherwise when used with inderectly heated cathode-type tubes, leave them to high voltage applications where their losses are negligible. UF-type diodes will be better for filaments.
