Shroeder Diffuser WIth Round Wells

Just wondering if there's any disadvantage to have round wells rather than square in a shoeder diffuser. I guess you will have a bit more reflective surface do to the space between the wells, but that shouldnt be a huge deal right?? Im just thinking
that building would be much easier because you could drill holes and layer 1"

mdf sheets.

Square is mathematically better/easier when designing- round edges/ circular creats a HUGE number of crosstalk anomalies.

There are lots of churches that used curved wells in the walls the add to the tone of the choir / monks singing- they add to the sound instead of diffusing it.
