YES I'VE SEARCHED!
Has anyone been able to successfuly shrink a projected image so as to be able to move the projetor further back while still fitting within the desired screen size for your screen? I have a projected image that looks nice on my 50" wide pull down screen but I want to move it back behind the couch which is about 15' from the screen....the only other option i have is to point the projector at an upward angle..giving the weird "trapezoid" effect. If there is a way to offset that then I may be willing to settle for that..provided I can redirect the leaky light..

Search for "keystone" not "trapezoid" and research throw. You may have searched, but not that hard.

well it's customary to actually do the search some1 recommends if you wish to find said information...
Yeah,
this has been a pretty talked over topic, and also quite recently. Look up throw distance, the basic idea though is that no easy way has been figured out yet.
